Erkend Verhuizer
In the Netherlands, everybody who has a license to transport goods is allowed to move
household goods. To insure the right quality, the SAVAM (cooperation of movers) has introduced a
qualification system, called De Erkende Verhuizer. This qualification is focussed on high quality
standards, which are periodly checked by the SAVAM. The standards include specialised education,
moving materials and technical support. Finaly, an Erkend Verhuizer must have a minimum of 50
removals a year and a good insurance. This insurance is covered by the SAVAM.
